Une recherche a été faite, dans une entreprise d'assemblage de serrures automobiles, des facteurs de risques que l'on peut retrouver chez des sujets ayant fait un TMS. Il en ressort que les sujets ayant les critères suivants peuvent être classés à risques : âge 35-45 ans - stress - amplitude de travail des articulations - épaule > 60° flexion, > 60° abduction, rotation externe, coude en extension, poignet en inclinaison cubitale avec extension-répétitivité - charge physique.
Ces sujets devront bénéficier d'une prise en charge prévention-éducation afin de diminuer le risque.

A study was carried out in a company that assembles automobile locks on the risk factors that can be found in TMS subjects. It finds that subjects with the following criteria may be classed as at risk : age of 35-45 years , stress , amplitude of work of the joints , shoulder > 60° flexion > 60° abduction, external rotation, elbow in extension, wrist in cubital inclination with extension , repetition , physical load.
The subjects should benefit from preventive care/education in order to reduce the risk.
